This unique position is a dual coordinator role, combining the function of planning and running PRIO's public seminars, with the task of coordinating the activities of PRIO's internal creative research groups.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Coordinate and run PRIO's public seminars to highlight the Institute's research to a variety of audiences. This encompasses holding planning meetings to coordinate public seminars, posting promotional texts for events and publishing them on PRIO's online platforms, managing the technical requirements of events, including live audio, live video, recordings and editing.
- Support in planning and organizing key large-scale public events, such as the PRIO Annual Peace Address.
- Act as the bridge between PRIO's research departments and its Communication Department to improve information-sharing between both.
- Facilitate the coordination of the activities of the Research Groups, including the organisation of meetings, brown bags and seminars.
About you:
To fill this position, we are looking for a go-getter with excellent organizational skills and an ability to multitask. You should thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You should be self-motivated and independent, but also a team player.
We are looking for candidates with an undergraduate degree in a related field and at least one year's relevant work experience. Experience in research communication or a related field such as international relations, or peace and conflict studies, is a plus. Fluency in written and verbal English is essential. Knowledge of Norwegian is a plus. Experience in coordinator roles in a professional context is an asset. Experience with photography, Adobe Photoshop, and audio visual, a plus.

The Event and Research Group Coordinator is a full-time position for one year, with the possibility for extension.
