The Harvard University psychologist and New York Times bestselling author Steven Pinker shows that the opposite is true in his recent book, The Better Angels of our Nature: Why Violence has Declined. Violence has been diminishing, and we may be living in the most peaceful time in the existence of the human kind. Pinker shows most forms of violence have dwindled and are condemned by most.
Steven Pinker is visiting Oslo, invited by the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters. His He will give an open lecture at the University of Oslo, co-organized by the Centre for the Study of Civil War at PRIO.
