What drives conflict? How are societies impacted? How can conflict be managed or resolved? This panel brings together scholars from the School of Government and Society, University of Birmingham, working on issues of international security, self-determination and secession and areas such as Kosovo, Georgia, Cyprus and the wider Europe. The panel seeks to trigger a discussion on lessons that we can draw from across seemingly different cases and open up the dialogue for how reconciliation in Cyprus can be encouraged.
