The PRIO Annual Peace Address invites distinguished guests to reflect on how to contribute to the creation of a world in which violence is the exception and peace is the norm. The lecturers include scholars, policy makers, writers, artists and others with a distinct voice on peace and war matters on the world scene.
In 2019, the Address was given by Steven Pinker, one of the leading public intellectuals of our time and Professor of Psychology at Harvard University. His address was a celebration of human progress and a defense of enlightenment ideals, rationality, science and humanism.
After the address, there was a discussion between Steven Pinker, Camilla Stoltenberg and Karl Ove Moene, followed by a reception.
