We live in an era marked by conflict, both in Europe and the rest of the world. For International Women’s Day, we therefore want to look at the specific ways in which war can impact women and girls.

How have our understandings of and narratives about women and war changed over time? Which stories about women and conflict still tend to be erased or forgotten, and which topics do we need more knowledge about?
