PRIO invites applications from highly competent researchers at the beginning of their academic career for a three-year postdoctoral research fellowship on defence and security policy.
This postdoctoral research fellowship is supported by a stipend from the Norwegian Ministry of Defence, aimed at contributing to the generation of increased knowledge and understanding of security policy challenges and international conditions confronting Norway in years to come.
Deadline for applications is 24 February 2014.
The applicants are invited to present a 2-5 page proposal for a postdoctoral research project that is of relevance to both PRIO and the Norwegian Ministry of Defence. Information about research themes of particular interest to the Ministry of Defence is available on the Ministry’s webpage.
Applicants are required to possess the following qualifications:
- A PhD within a relevant subject area
- An excellent scientific publication record
- Experience in network-building and project development
- Strong writing skills
PRIO offers salary according to qualifications, Group Life insurance and membership in Norwegian Public Service Pension Fund.
