PRIO Cyprus Centre has just been admitted to EuroMeSCo, the Euro-Mediterranean Study Commission, with full membership. Founded in 1996, EuroMeSCo is the main network of research centres on politics and security in the Mediterranean, striving at building a community of research institutes and think tanks committed to strengthening Euro-Mediterranean relations. EuroMeSCo consistently ranks among the top 10 think tank networks in the world in the Global Go-To Think Tank Index Report of the Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania.
"I'm delighted that the PRIO Cyprus Centre (PCC) was accepted as a full member to EuroMeSCo in recognition of its work and impact. Since its inception in 2005, the PCC has been conducting groundbreaking research, facilitating dialogue, and contributing to an informed public debate, strengthening regional cooperation in the Eastern Mediterranean at large. The PCC functions as an independent institute, committed to top academic and policy research and dialogue in response to challenging regional realities. The work of the Centre has rendered it a key reference point in and for the region."
