Over the last four years PRIO has co-organized a series of conferences on inclusive citizenship in Iraq. The participants have included religious and civic leaders (Shiite, Sunni, Christian, Turkmen, Yazidi, etc.), as well as representatives of government and NGOs. The Istanbul conference will take place this December 8-10 at the Swissotel Bosporus, on the theme of “Trustbuilding in Iraq: Current Challenges and Opportunities.” The conference is organized in conjunction with the Kalima Center for Dialogue and Cooperation (Najaf) Center for the Study of Islam and the Middle East (Washington, DC). Participation in the conference is by invitation only. More information will be posted after the event has taken place.
