PRIO Global Fellow Atsushi Tago has won a JSPS Prize 2019for his work on“Expansion of the Research Frontiers of the Scientific Study of World Politics from the Perspectives of Non-hegemonic States”. The Japan Society for the Promotion of Science established the JSPS Prize in 2004 and usually select 25 scholars each year.
The award ceremony will take place in February. Fumihito, Crown Prince Akishino will be in attendance to recognize the winners.
Atsushi Tago Professor of International Relations at the School of Political Science and Economics, Waseda University and has been a PRIO Global Fellow since 2017.

JSPS plays a pivotal role in the administration of a wide spectrum of Japan's scientific and academic programms.”
