Kristin Lund, Practitioner in Residence at PRIO, is one of the key speakers at the Oslo Pax conference on Wednesday the 7th of October. The title of this year's conference is DIVERSITY MATTERS - Gender and inclusion in peace and war.
When being asked about this year's program Lund says, "Maybe the most important weapon that you have is communication and to build relations". Furthermore, "To accomplish a sustainable peace you must have a holistic approach that will benefit 100% of the population. That's why business and gender equality must go hand in hand."
Kristin Lund is the first woman Force Commander in United Nations history and she has extensive experience from UN missions and international operations. Since 2017 she has been a UN Women Champion. Lund has recently retired from the Norwegian Armed Forces and is now a practitioner in residence at PRIO.
Speakers will participate on stage at the Nobel Peace Center in Oslo and digitally from around the world. Have a look at the program and sign up for the conference here.
