Sara Christophersen has won the annual prize for best MA thesis in human geography, handed out at this year's digital winter seminar.
Her thesis is entitled 'Embodied possibilities: a study of dance as an everyday, artistic practice in Palestine', Based on fieldwork in Palestine and a decade of professional engagements as a dancer and choreographer with the Palestinian dancing community, the thesis explores how hip-hop dancers in Palestine create movement in a situation of severe constraints and restrictions through their practice of dance.
