The Research Council of Norway announced funding for 21 new projects this week. This funding is part of the FRIPRO scheme, which supports ground-breaking research across various disciplines. PRIO was delighted at the funding of two of its projects.
"Our researchers' success highlights the quality and impact of PRIO's research initiatives, which continue to receive solid recognition from significant funding bodies such as the Research Council of Norway," said Henrik Urdal, PRIO Director.
The two projects which received funding and are considered by the Research Council to provide ground-breaking new knowledge were:
- Conflict-related attacks on education and children’s lost life opportunities, led by PRIO Research Professor Gudrun Østby, and
- Recording Explosive Munitions for the analysis of WAR crimes, led by PRIO Senior Researcher, Sebastian Schutte.
PRIO was awarded two of the 14 ‘experienced researcher projects’. More information about these projects will soon be available at the PRIO website.
