On 15 August 2024, the DIGeMERGE project and the Center for Digital Welfare hosted an open forum on "Digitalising Emergency Communication" inviting participants to discuss the use of new emergency communication technologies in the Nordic countries. The Digital Emergency Communication (DIGeMERGE) project and the Center for Digital Welfare, IT University of Copenhagen invited researchers, practitioners, and other stakeholders in emergency management and communication to discuss the infrastructural, institutional, and relational outcomes of these processes, and how they contribute to social and cultural change in the Nordic countries. The full-day program on "Infrastructural Practices and Politics of Digitalising Emergency Communication" consisted of keynotes, breakaway sessions and discussion panels.
