War impact on water resources; communal violence; water cooperation; groundwater, IWRM
Stefan Döring is principal investigator for a three-year Swedish Research Council-funded project that examines individual and societal coping strategies when facing conflict-induced water scarcity. He has a general interest in the role of water resource for peace and conflict research. Stefan has experience working with interview material as well as with quantitative analyses of environmental and survey-based data.
Stefan is a member of the Research School on Water Cooperation, a collaboration with the Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI) and Uppsala University. He has been a visiting researcher at the University of Michigan and UN Environment in Nairobi, Kenya.
