Celestyna Hamad is an Event and Research Coordinator in the Communication Department at PRIO. She is responsible for organizing PRIO’s public seminars, and coordinating its Research Groups. Prior to that she worked as a Communication Assistant in the department since January 2023.

Celestyna had been interning with PRIO’s Middle East centre the last six months of 2022, working on the diaspora politics of the Palestinian exile leadership from 1983 to 1993.

Celestyna received her MA in Middle Eastern Studies at Universita Cattolica in Milan, Italy in December 2023 where she wrote her thesis on the impact of feminist activism in the revolutions in Egypt and Syria in 2011.
