Alastair Hannay (1932–2024) was a British philosopher. He was professor of Philosophy at the University of Oslo and for many years the Editor of the journal Inquiry (founded by Arne Næss in 1958). In 1964–65, he served as the first Managing Editor of Journal of Peace Research.
