This project takes an in-depth view of migrant integration in the south to highlight the ways in which problems may still remain even after the incorporation of EU Directives into domestic law. While previous studies on migrant welfare by researchers and activists have concentrated on discourses around migration, policies of refugee protection, and questions of violence and discrimination, little has thus far been said about the social integration of migrant communities.
This project continues to develop in 2017 into the Migration Flows and Aftermath of Hotspots projects
