In this concluding chapter, we begin by suggesting some of the advantages of an evolutionary analysis of marriage, and we put forward some of the main characteristics of marriage. This will be followed by a review of some of the findings described in previous chapters. Last, some social policy measures that seem to promote marriage, marital stability, and children’s well-being will be identified.
