Migration and Development in Cape Verde: Consultations with the Diaspora

The present document is a research brief for consultations with the Cape Verdean Diaspora in March 2008. The consultations took place through the Internet. A web page was set up where people could leave feedback on different proposed topics. Other means were also used (namely to disseminate information about the consultations and gather information on discussion topics related to the present consultations), such as discussion boards of Cape Verdean online groups, forums, direct emailing of leaders and members of different Cape Verdean associations, as well as people responsible for popular Cape Verdean Internet sites, many of which are developed by Cape Verdean migrants. This research brief presents the results of the consultations.
