When society strives to create more gender and cultural diversity in its armed forces, how is that related to the ethics of armed force? To what extent is it an ethical obligation to create more diversity and multiculturalism in the armed forces? This article discusses these questions with reference to ideals of ethical dialogues (single-loop, double-loop, and triple-loop), and with reference to moral virtues.
