This workshop is co-organized by the Indian Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses (IDSA) and the Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO) as a part the IDSA-PRIO cooperation on India in the World: Emerging Perspectives on Global Challenges, and its subproject on Nuclear Governance.
The workshop invites for discussion India's role in multilateral export control regimes, and in global nuclear governance in general. The workshop explores the implications of India joining the Missile Technology Control Regime, and potentially also the Wassenaar Arrangement, the Australia Group, and the Nuclear Suppliers Group, for global nuclear security and non-proliferation. A broader theme of the workshop is the role of multilateral export control regimes in supporting global nuclear security and non-proliferation.
