The third 2016 issue of the PRIO Gender, Peace and Security Update is now out.
The lead story in this issue looks at approaches to integrating gender into foreign policy, with examples from Australia and Sweden. The story is based on talks by Professor Jacqui True (Monash University) and Professor Karin Aggestam (Lund University) at the recent PRIO seminar 'Gender in Foreign Policy', held on 23 September 2016.
This issue also includes updates from Norwegian embassies on implementing the Women, Peace and Security agenda, and a recent workshop on armed conflict, maternal health and development aid. As usual, the GPS Update also gives you an update on relevant news, events and publications.
The PRIO Gender, Peace and Security Update (GPS) is an electronic newsletter launched by the PRIO Centre on Gender, Peace and Security in response to growing interest among the public for information about gender, peace and security issues. The newsletter also keeps readers informed of the latest developments both internationally and in Norway in relation to UN Security Council Resolution 1325 (2000) on Women, Peace and Security and subsequent resolutions.
