Master thesis
Noor Jdid has successfully defended her PhD dissertation: "Taking part in society the way I am".
This workshop focuses on tensions and contestations in debates on what it means to be a good citizen and how lived experiences of citizens today challenge existing models of democracy.
As part of the project Active Citizenship in Cultural and Religiously Diverse Societies, the Active Citizenship Today conference is held at the University of Tromsø.
Proposed changes in Norway's immigration could have adverse effects on integration, discriminate against persons with disabilities, and undermine democratic control.
